Labyrinth Walk for Peace

Date: March 28th - 11:15am
Location: First Universalist Society in Franklin - 262 Chestnut Street Franklin, MA
Hosted by: The PEACE Ministry and The Labyrinth Committee www.fusf.org

"Tricia, Beth and Kathy, have collaboratively designed an apprenticeship program that generously shares the personal and practical experiences they've encountered in their many years working with the labyrinth. The apprentice has the opportunity 'to sit at the feet of the masters' while discovering the historical, the sacred and the many  resources (tools, kits, music, themes, rituals) available to further pursue the study of the labyrinth.  Most importantly, these 3 gifted women establish the necessary network for like-minded individuals to come together and share in the future.  This program was inspiring, informative, and fun."

Franklin LabyrinthThe First Universalist Society of Franklin will hold a labyrinth walk as part of the international program A Season for Nonviolence.  The Season is a 64 day educational campaign dedicated to demonstrating that nonviolence is a powerful way to heal, transform, and empower our lives and our communities.  Inspired by the 50th and 30th memorial anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr Martin Luther King, Jr., this event honors their vision for an empowered, nonviolent world. For more information go to, www.64-days.org.

Walkers will create peace prayer flags for the Peace Tree and will receive peace tokens to spread into their communities.  All are welcome, families are especially encouraged to participate.  The Labyrinth is located in the pine grove to the right of the church.  Please dress for the weather.
