Apprentice's and their Vision Statements for Working with the Labyrinth

To offer to as many people as possible the experience of walking a labyrinth:

- in varied settings such as churches, schools, home celebrations and hospitals;
- as a place to seek inner peace, healing and inspiration for their journeys;
- providing a spiritual tool to help people slow down and open themselves to connection with the Divine Spirit and with one another.

Jennifer Dewar

I found you many years ago
Tucked in the middle of the woods.
Quartz stones placed silently and deliberately
In a path in the earth
Made by other seekers of peace
In years past
But I was asleep.
Now I have found you again.
My desire to bring my walking wounded
Into your center is pressing.
We will walk, mindful of each step, each breath.
Inviting the healing energy to surround and fill us
With a sense of hope and renewal.
This is only the beginning.
Later they too, will return with others.
To find their peace.
This universal energy healing one person at a time
Just by putting one foot in front of the other.

Jeanne Colbath

I received the gift of Labyrinth’s Way
And so I must share it.
by teaching
by creating
by leading others to her healing path.

V. Jane Fadden

My vision is to build labyrinths and to learn how to communicate to people so they can learn the joys of the labyrinth.

The walking - meditation
The metaphors
The calming
The moving
The churning & turning
The stirring ( a big bowl of ???)

In a world filled with a tapestry of choices, the fullness, complexity, and wonder of God’s world is a delight. Sometimes there are so many choices that it is hard to focus on the path of life that God wants for us. The Labyrinth helps us to focus. It is a divine imprint, a mystery in many ways. It draws the pieces of our lives together in ways that give it meaning and shape. It welcomes us and grounds us in God’s love wherever on life’s journey we may be. It is a body prayer! Just let your body do the walking, feet or hands, kneeling, standing, or sitting. Be still; wait, God is all around and at the center.

Join the pilgrims of the ages; walk this sacred path where there is no getting lost.

Love at the beginning, Love at the center, Love at homecoming!
