DESCRIBE LABYRINTH:My labyrinth is made in the pattern called
Robin Hood's Race. It is about 1/2 mile long and takes 30 to 45 minutes to walk.
You park at the edge of a hayfield and walk a mowed path to an island of trees
to begin. The experience of walking in the woods and then out into the hayfield
following the path gives a real experience of nature, from shade to sun,
from quiet to breeze.
To get to this labyrinth, find the center of Washington Maine (the
intersection of rts 17 and 220) At the monument, go East on Old Union Road
for 1.9 miles and there will be a hayfield on the right just past a pond
also on the right. There are flags to show where to park and where to walk.
The labyrinth is open year round, although it is hard to maintain in winter
and mud season. It is only open Sundays in hunting season.

DESCRIBE LABYRINTH: The Crystal Labyrinth. I built this Labyrinth in 2000. It is surrounded and centered with Herkimer diamonds (crystals). It is an outdoor 11 circuit labyrinth covering a full acre of land and made of Earth and flowers with a 3 ft wide path to a center large enough to have a gazebo made of poles and a recycled 10 ft satellite dish. Since the center is 45 ft in diameter I am making benchs that will honor each life form, I have started with the 6th (the unknown) I am calling it "Cosmic" and doing carvings of the Universe such as my version of a Supernova, the Earth and moon, comets, spirals etc.
